Graphic Design

Graphic design is about expressing your products, goals, or intents to others with a visually appealing, compelling sense of purpose and style. Each project brings a unique set of challenges, and the first step is to connote the overall culture and goals of an organization to the outside world and/or to the rest of the organization. From the world of foodservice to corporate strategies, every organization should take advantage of the power of the image. As the old saying goes, "a picture is worth a thousand words!" This simply is true, as your message can come across quickly and with power if you use the right visual tools!

What follows are some examples of logos, print advertisements, and other graphics that I've produced over the years for either myself or my clients

Logos & Branding

Liberty Theatre LogoLogo created for Liberty Theatre, the oldest continually-operated movie theatre in Oklahoma. The text was an artistic rendition of the owner's handwriting, while the Lady Liberty head was inspired by the Statue of Liberty.
Carnegie Fiber LogoCarnegie Fiber was a refresh of an existing logo from the customer that wanted to keep some elements of the older design. A refreshed color scheme reflected the growth of the company into new service areas.
Drove Thru Logo with Stoplight imageThe idea of a stoplight inspired this logo for a convenience store that wanted to demonstrate that the wait would be short and service is speedy. The stoplight motif continued to other branding for this business as well.
Carnegie Tri County Hospital Logo circular with textThis logo was also a refresh and update of an existing design, which was that of an EKG signal. Oftentimes customers have old logos that they do not have in a high-resolution digital (vector) format. I can assist in converting/updating these to be usable in a modern format.
GigaFast logo with internet speedometer stylized with fireCommunicating the fact that internet speeds were at the "maximum", this logo combined the customer's branding of their internet product with a stylized speedometer that was on fire. This logo was used in both print and digital media by the customer.
Little Train House logo for the Carnegie FairThis example shows two different creations, one being the logo for the fictional "railway" company inside the sign. Created for a local county fair, this was turned into a building-sized sign to communicate sponsorship of a kids' amusement ride.

Social Media Posts

Wyatt Zane Band facebook image postCreating attractive posts for Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter (among other examples) involves combining provided artwork or photos and relevant information for easy comprehension. Video posts are also particularly effective for all social media sites.
Amusement ride image for the Carnegie FairOften posts are needed for multiple parts of an event. The band image at the left and this post about ride training all are for the same event. I administer more than a dozen Facebook & Instagram pages for various businesses and organizations.
image from Apocalypse Now and quotationAn entire weekly series of social media posts were created for a local theatre that showcase great quotes from movies in the past. These types of posts drive engagement and increase followership for a brand trying to establish a social media presence.
